E-mail
Settings Verify
that you are connected to the Internet when attempting to read
or send mail. With our email server, you can check email from
anywhere in the world, as long as you have Internet access. To
check your email using Skyline Web Mail, just go to www.skylinewireless.com
and enter your username and password. If
you would prefer to use a mail program, like Microsoft
Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, or Netscape Navigator
Email, you will need to make some configuration changes to
your mail program. POP3
Server (Incoming Mail): mail.skylinewireless.com SMTP
Server (Outgoing Mail): mail.skylinewireless.com The
name of your e-mail account is the first part of your e-mail
address. For example, if your address is jsmith@skylinewireless.net,
your account is jsmith. Your account name is always
entered in lower case (all small letters). Microsoft
Outlook Setup
To
setup your Skyline Email account via Microsoft Outlook 2000: 1.)
Open Microsoft Outlook 2000 2.)
Click “Tools” 3.)
Click “Accounts” 4.)
Click on the “Mail” tab 5.)
Click the “Add” Tab 6.)
Select “Mail” 7.)
Type in your Display Name (example: John Smith) This is
what people will see when they receive an email from you.
(click next) 8.)
Type in your Email Address (username@skylinewireless.net,
i.e., jsmith@skylinewireless.net)
(click next) 9.)
Incoming (POP3): mail.skylinewireless.com 10.)
Outgoing (SMTP): mail.skylinewireless.com (click next) 11.)
Type in your Account Name (this is the first part
of your email address, i.e., jsmith@skylinewireless.net.) 12.)
Type in your password 13.)
Make sure the “remember password’ button is
checked. 14.)
Make sure the “Log on using Secure Password
Authentication” is NOT CHECKED (click next) 15.)
Select “Connect using my Local Area Network (LAN)”
(click next) 16.)
Click Finish 17.)

you select finish, you will be brought back to your Outlook
2000 with the Internet Accounts Box still up. 18.)
Highlight your SkylineWireless Mail Account 19.)
Click
“Properties” Tab 20.)
Click “Server” Tab 21.)
Click “My Server Requires Authentication” (this is
at the very bottom under “Outgoing Mail Server”. 22.)
Click “OK” button 23.)
Click
“CLOSE” button 24.)

Outlook Express Setup

DNS Settings
For those of you that have static IP addresses, you will require more information for your setup. This information was given to you at the time of installation, or can be obtained by calling our office. Newsgroup Setup
Microsoft Outlook Express
1.) Open Microsoft Outlook Express 2.) Click "Tools" 3.) Click "Accounts" 4.) Click "News" Tab 5.) Click "Add" 6.) Click "News" 7.) Type in a display name (this is what others will see when you post a news message. It can be anything) 8.) Click "next" 9.) Type in your email address (Your_Username@skylinewireless.net) 10.) Click "next" 11.) Type in your News (NNTP) server (news.skylinewireless.com) 12.) Click "next" 13.) Click "finish"
You are now done!!
